SK Travel Group was founded in Cairo in 2004 by a team of Egyptologists, hoteliers, and travel architects who shared a single conviction: that the way international visitors experienced Egypt was broken.
Tour operators were running cookie-cutter group itineraries. Online travel agencies were charging international travellers 25–40% mark-ups to book the same hotels Egyptians could book for half the price. The hotels themselves had little control over the experience their guests received.
We set out to change all three. Twenty years on, SK Travel Group owns and operates four hotels across Cairo and Giza, employs over 240 people on the ground in Egypt, and has welcomed more than 12,400 international travellers — every one of them booked direct, with no hidden fees, by an expert who knows Egypt.

Visa information
Most nationalities can obtain an Egyptian visa on arrival ($25 USD) or apply for an e-visa online before travel. We provide full visa guidance with every booking.
Travel insurance
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering medical, cancellation, and personal effects. We can recommend trusted providers on request.
Health & vaccinations
No mandatory vaccinations for most travellers. We recommend Hepatitis A and routine boosters. Consult your doctor 4–6 weeks before travel.
Money & currency
Egyptian Pound (EGP) is the local currency. USD and EUR widely accepted at tourist sites. ATMs and card payments common in Cairo and major cities.
Best time to visit
October to April is the peak season — pleasant temperatures across all regions. May to September is hot but offers significant savings on hotels and tours.
Language
Arabic is the official language. English is widely spoken in tourism, hotels, and major sites. Our guides are fluent in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and more.

Standard policy: free cancellation up to 30 days before departure (50% refund 15–29 days, no refund within 14 days). Tour-specific policies may vary.
