Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancel any confirmed booking up to 1 day before arrival and receive a full refund of everything you have paid. No questions asked. If your plans shift, rescheduling is always an option — no admin fee on the first date change.
1. Standard cancellation policy
For most tailor-made tours and hotel stays:
- More than 1 day before arrival. 100% refund of all amounts paid.
- Day of arrival or no-show. We will attempt to recover any unspent supplier costs on your behalf and return them net of any fees.
This is our default and applies to the majority of bookings. Exceptions are described in Section 2 and are always flagged in your written quote before you pay anything.
2. Supplier-specific exceptions
Some elements carry non-refundable costs that we cannot recover once confirmed. Where they apply to your booking, your written quote will flag them explicitly before you commit:
- Nile cruises. Most operators require full payment and apply 100% cancellation fees inside 21 days. Some flagship vessels require a 50% non-refundable deposit on confirmation.
- Peak-season hotel stays (Christmas, New Year, Easter). Special-rate rooms are typically non-refundable inside 30 days of arrival.
- Internal flights. Domestic Egypt tickets are usually non-refundable once issued; date changes may be available for a carrier fee.
- Hot-air balloons, special permits, dive packages. Generally non-refundable once confirmed with the supplier.
If any of these elements appear in your itinerary, we will quote the non-refundable portion as a separate, clearly labelled line item before you confirm.
3. How to cancel
Write to your specialist or to booking@sktravel.tours quoting your reference code. The effective cancellation date is the date we receive your written notice during business hours (Sun–Thu, 9am–6pm Cairo time). We acknowledge all cancellations within 1 business day.
4. Rescheduling instead of cancelling
In most cases rescheduling is the simpler path. One date change is offered at no admin fee. Further changes are handled on a best-effort basis; any third-party re-booking fees are passed through at cost, always documented.
5. Cancellation by us
In the rare event we cancel a confirmed booking due to force majeure, supplier failure, or safety closure, we offer your choice of:
- A full refund of all monies paid, or
- An 18-month future-travel credit with no rebooking fee, or
- Re-booking on an alternative of equivalent value at no extra charge.
6. Refund processing
Refunds are processed through the original payment channel. Bank transfers typically settle in 5–10 business days; card refunds can take up to 30 days depending on your issuing bank. We do not deduct administrative fees from refunds.
7. Travel insurance
Our policy is designed to give you maximum flexibility. For situations outside anyone's control — medical emergencies, natural disasters, airline failures — comprehensive travel insurance is the most complete protection. We recommend purchasing it at the time you confirm.
8. Questions and disputes
