Journey highlights
This 7-day mid classic introduces you to the very best of Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, crafted by Egypt Stay & Tours' specialists with over 20 years of Egypt expertise. From the moment your private chauffeur greets you at the airport to your final farewell, every detail has been considered. You'll travel with an expert Egyptologist (or local equivalent) who brings ancient history to life, stay in carefully selected mid accommodations, and experience moments most travellers miss.
Unlike generic group tours, this itinerary is fully customisable. Add experiences, extend stays, upgrade hotels, or adjust the pace — we tailor every journey to suit your style. With 24/7 in-country support, transparent pricing, and direct relationships with all suppliers (including our own seven hotels in Egypt), you'll experience Egypt the way it should be experienced: seamlessly, authentically, and without compromise.
Egyptologist's note
Seven days, three cities, no cruise. This is the route for travellers who specifically do not want a Nile cruise — either because of motion sickness, time pressure, or a preference for hotel beds. You see Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan with internal flights connecting them, and you stay in proper city hotels in each location.
Content is similar to the 8-day cruise version but you trade the Edfu/Kom Ombo cruise stops for an extra night in either Luxor or Aswan and a more leisurely museum experience in Cairo. Most travellers who choose the no-cruise version use the saved time for a deeper Luxor visit (both East and West banks at length).
Historical context
The Cairo-Luxor-Aswan air shuttle was the standard way to see Egypt before the Nile cruise market exploded in the 1970s. Florence Nightingale and many 19th-century travellers covered the same route by Nile sailing boat over six weeks; the modern flight version compresses it to seven days.
Insider tip from your guide
Use the no-cruise time saving for the Luxor Museum — far smaller than the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, but the curation is exceptional and most cruise itineraries skip it entirely.
Meet your representative at Cairo Airport, private transfer to hotel. Welcome briefing with your Egyptologist guide. Evening at leisure.
