Journey highlights
This 10-day ultra-luxury honeymoon introduces you to the very best of Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, Abu Simbel, crafted by Egypt Stay & Tours' specialists with over 20 years of Egypt expertise. From the moment your private chauffeur greets you at the airport to your final farewell, every detail has been considered. You'll travel with an expert Egyptologist (or local equivalent) who brings ancient history to life, stay in carefully selected ultra-luxury accommodations, and experience moments most travellers miss.
Unlike generic group tours, this itinerary is fully customisable. Add experiences, extend stays, upgrade hotels, or adjust the pace — we tailor every journey to suit your style. With 24/7 in-country support, transparent pricing, and direct relationships with all suppliers (including our own seven hotels in Egypt), you'll experience Egypt the way it should be experienced: seamlessly, authentically, and without compromise.
Egyptologist's note
Ten days at the top end of the catalogue. Ultra-luxury hotels (Four Seasons Cairo, Sofitel Old Cataract Aswan, Hilton Luxor or equivalent), the slowest premium dahabiya sailing rather than a standard cruiser, private guides at every site, and Abu Simbel by air rather than the long convoy. This is the itinerary for couples celebrating a milestone anniversary or a significant trip.
What distinguishes the anniversary route from a standard luxury itinerary is the inclusion of private after-hours access where it can be arranged — usually the Egyptian Museum or specific tomb groups in the Valley of the Kings — and a private chef-prepared dinner on the dahabiya deck at least once during the cruise.
Historical context
The dahabiya is the historical mode of Nile travel for the Victorian and Edwardian elite — Lord and Lady Carnarvon used one during the seasons that led to Carter's 1922 discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb. The wood-hulled, sail-powered design predates the steamboat by centuries.
Insider tip from your guide
Ask whether your Aswan-Abu Simbel flight can be timed for late afternoon rather than the standard 06:00 — the temples shut to general visitors at 17:00 and the post-15:00 light on the Ramesses colossi is far better than the harsh dawn flatness.
Meet your representative at Cairo Airport, private transfer to hotel. Welcome briefing with your Egyptologist guide. Evening at leisure.
