About this journey

This 14-day luxury beach introduces you to the very best of Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, Hurghada, crafted by Egypt Stay & Tours' specialists with over 20 years of Egypt expertise. From the moment your private chauffeur greets you at the airport to your final farewell, every detail has been considered. You'll travel with an expert Egyptologist (or local equivalent) who brings ancient history to life, stay in carefully selected luxury accommodations, and experience moments most travellers miss.

Unlike generic group tours, this itinerary is fully customisable. Add experiences, extend stays, upgrade hotels, or adjust the pace — we tailor every journey to suit your style. With 24/7 in-country support, transparent pricing, and direct relationships with all suppliers (including our own seven hotels in Egypt), you'll experience Egypt the way it should be experienced: seamlessly, authentically, and without compromise.

Egyptologist's note

What this trip really shows you

Two halves: ten days of antiquity through Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan, then four days down on the Red Sea coast at Hurghada or Marsa Alam to decompress. The combination matters — most Egypt itineraries either rush you through the temples and skip the coast, or sit you on a beach and call it Egypt. This does both seriously.

Historical context

The Red Sea coast was Egypt's eastern trade frontier — Mons Claudianus and Mons Porphyrites supplied the imperial Roman building program with the world's hardest stone, and the route from Coptos to Berenice on the coast was one of the busiest commercial corridors of antiquity. The reefs themselves are geologically young (Pleistocene), but they sit on cliffs the Romans were quarrying two thousand years ago.

What you'll experience

  • Pyramids of Giza, Saqqara, and the Egyptian Museum across two Cairo days
  • Four-night Nile cruise Luxor → Aswan with Edfu, Kom Ombo, and Philae
  • Abu Simbel by morning flight from Aswan (not the convoy)
  • Transfer to Red Sea by short flight — no all-day road transfer
  • Four reef days with PADI dive option or guided snorkel from a private dhow
  • Final Cairo night before departure with airport transfer

Insider tip from your guide

If you're a diver, ask about the Brothers Islands liveaboard option as a substitute for the four hotel nights. It's a different price band, but the wall diving at Big Brother is on most divers' top-five-of-life lists.
