Journey highlights
This 7-day luxury honeymoon introduces you to the very best of Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, crafted by Egypt Stay & Tours' specialists with over 20 years of Egypt expertise. From the moment your private chauffeur greets you at the airport to your final farewell, every detail has been considered. You'll travel with an expert Egyptologist (or local equivalent) who brings ancient history to life, stay in carefully selected luxury accommodations, and experience moments most travellers miss.
Unlike generic group tours, this itinerary is fully customisable. Add experiences, extend stays, upgrade hotels, or adjust the pace — we tailor every journey to suit your style. With 24/7 in-country support, transparent pricing, and direct relationships with all suppliers (including our own seven hotels in Egypt), you'll experience Egypt the way it should be experienced: seamlessly, authentically, and without compromise.
Egyptologist's note
A 7-day honeymoon route built specifically for couples: smaller cruise (5★ small-cabin or dahabiya depending on season), heritage hotels in Cairo and Aswan, and the inclusion of romantic set-pieces — felucca at sunset on the Nile, private balloon over the West Bank at dawn, candlelit dinner on the Old Cataract terrace, the small temple of Philae lit at night.
The pace is deliberately slower than the standard 7-day. You see fewer monuments but the ones included (Pyramids, Saqqara, Karnak, Hatshepsut, Philae) are sequenced with breathing room and the evenings are unhurried.
Historical context
Philae temple, dedicated to Isis and partially relocated to Agilkia Island in the 1970s after the Aswan High Dam, was the last functioning ancient Egyptian temple — the cult of Isis continued there until 537 CE, almost 200 years after the Christianisation of the rest of Egypt.
Insider tip from your guide
Time the West Bank balloon for the second day in Luxor, not the first — you arrive via overnight train or evening flight and the sunrise call at 04:30 on the morning of arrival usually goes badly.
Meet your representative at Cairo Airport, private transfer to hotel. Welcome briefing with your Egyptologist guide. Evening at leisure.
