Egyptologist's note
Eight days that re-frame Egypt around recovery rather than itinerary throughput. Pyramids and Karnak are still in the program but the day rhythm is different: yoga at sunrise on the Nile, hammam afternoons, hot springs at Bahariya or Aswan, evening lectures rather than night-driving site transfers. Built for travellers who do not want to come home from holiday more tired.
Historical context
Bath and steam culture in Egypt long predates the Ottoman hammam tradition — Greco-Roman Egypt had public baths in every garrison town, and Pharaonic temple precincts had ritual purification pools that the Ptolemaic priesthood maintained as health installations. Aswan's hot mineral springs and the natural sulphur baths of Bahariya have been documented as therapeutic destinations since the 11th century CE.
Insider tip from your guide
Aswan in winter is the ideal climate for this trip — daytime 24°C, dry, no humidity. Avoid May–September unless heat is part of what you're seeking; the wellness routine reads differently at 42°C.
Meet your representative at Cairo Airport, private transfer to hotel. Welcome briefing with your Egyptologist guide. Evening at leisure.
