About this journey

Three ancient civilisations, three timeless landscapes — from the Pyramids of Giza to the rose-red city of Petra to the Nabataean tombs of Hegra. Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia as they were meant to be seen: private, unhurried, extraordinary.

This 16-day luxury journey traces humanity's oldest trade routes — from the pharaohs of the Nile to the Nabataean merchants of Petra and the ancient kingdoms of north-west Arabia. You'll travel with a private Egyptologist in Egypt, a dedicated Jordan specialist through Petra and Wadi Rum, and a local AlUla expert into one of the world's newest and most extraordinary UNESCO destinations.

In Egypt: three days unlocking Cairo's pharaonic treasures before heading south to Luxor's temple city and Aswan's Nubian reaches — culminating in a sunrise flight to Abu Simbel, the most dramatic monument in Africa. In Jordan: the legendary Siq, the Treasury, two full days inside Petra's ancient city, and a night under Wadi Rum's blazing desert sky. In Saudi Arabia: AlUla's Hegra is the Petra of Arabia — Nabataean tombs carved into rose-gold sandstone, almost unknown to most travellers. Jeddah closes the journey with its UNESCO coral-stone Al-Balad district and the Red Sea at golden hour.

Unlike generic group tours, this itinerary is fully customisable. Three countries, one operator, zero hand-offs — SK Travel handles visas, cross-border logistics, private guides, and luxury accommodation throughout.
